This is truly a question that is on many people’s minds. Considering the economic mess our country is going through with political problems, moral issues ie. gay marriage, planetary catastrophies, covert attacks on Christians, etc., it certainly seems the world is going crazy! Therefore, last Monday night, I began teaching Dr. David Jeremiah’s new book, “What in the World is Going On?
I was very pleased to have 15 attendees for our first meeting on a very cold wet evening accompanied by an Ice Storm Warning! We began at 6:00 P.M., with some bringing their dinner with them, and eating as we began to teach (including yours truly)!! We had a fantastic time as we covered the introduction, and most of chapter one. Dr Jeremiah dealt with “the Israel Connection” and the miracle of her rebirth as a nation in fulfillment of prophecy on May 14, 1948! We were reminded of God’s promise to Abraham that he would give this land to him and his descendants forever. We were also reminded that whoever blesses Israel, God would bless and whoever curses Israel, God would curse, and how that is exactly what we see being carried out in the world today!
There was much more that we discussed that was fascinating, of course, but we can only say that it was well worth the time! We invite everyone interested in Prophecy and the world situation, to join us next Monday night at 6:00 P.M. for more fun, fellowship and study of what is happening in our world. The only cost is the cost of Dr. Jeremiah’s book which is $20.00. See you next Monday!!
In Christ,
Brother David

Trip To The Mission
As many of you already know, a group of us from the church go down to the Union Gospel Mission every month on the second Sunday night. We take a group of ten to fifteen interested church members to sing, give testimonies, sing solos, or just be there for support and prayer. There is usually a group of 250 – 300 men in attendance.
Last night, we took a group of 16 missionaries with us. As soon as we got in the church van to leave, we felt the dynamic presence of the Holy Spirit. We felt this was going to be a special night. Well, we weren’t disappointed. The building was packed with about 300 men. They seemed restless and tired, some obviously sick from all the changing winter weather. Many were coughing, and some were trying to go to sleep! But when our “Team” began to sing some of the old hymns, and Mary Springer began playing her “keyboard”, the atmosphere began to change! Billy Ray Vaughn had already introduced us and welcomed the men to the service. David Land led our music and most of the men seemed to join in singing. Mindy Clark shared a very effective testimony followed by her solo which we all loved. Then I shared a message from God’s Word about facing death and making our lives count for something. When we gave the invitation, 31 men came forward to surrender their lives to Christ!!! Hallelujah! What a great privilege and joy we all had in seeing so many men unashamedly coming forward to confess their faith in Christ! Needless to say we left that place walking a couple of feet above the ground! When we left, we headed back to the church and then over to “IHOP” for some pancakes and coffee nourishment. About twelve of us were at the restaurant, and had a great time celebrating the victory God had given us. I got home about 11:00 P.M. tired and yet happy for the privilege of being a part of such a glorious evening. If you are interested in joining us, just come to the new fellowship room about 6:15 on the second Sunday of the month. We would love for you to join us.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
